Cley Studio Relocates Melbourne Studio to Everlane, Cremorne
Dec 1, 2025
Cley Studio, Architex and Crosier Scott Architects relocate into a shared, award winning, purpose‑aligned workplace
Cley Studio has relocated its Melbourne team to Everlane, 22 Gordon Street, Cremorne, marking a significant milestone in the studio’s next chapter of growth.
The move brings Cley Studio together with fellow Mijasu network practices — Architex, Crosier Scott Architects, Best and Approv — under one roof, within a purpose-designed workplace created to support a truly interdisciplinary way of working.
Everlane is a new commercial mixed-use workplace designed by Fieldwork, located in the heart of Cremorne’s evolving creative precinct. The Melbourne studio is the first to relocate into a custom-designed Mijasu network environment — setting the benchmark for a new way of working that will be progressively rolled out nationally.
“This move is about intention,” said Jacob Burke, CEO, Cley Studio.
“We’ve designed a space that reflects how we actually work — together, across disciplines, and in constant conversation. It’s a studio built for collaboration, not hierarchy.”
The new Cremorne studio more than doubles the floorspace of Cley Studio’s former Burnley workplace and occupies a unique position within the building. It is the only tenancy with direct access to a private terrace, reinforcing the studio’s belief in the value of biophilic principles and the role of natural light, fresh air and connection to landscape in supporting wellbeing, creativity and focus.
Designed to support hybrid working, flexible project teams and a variety of collaborative settings, the studio provides spaces for discussion, interrogation and shared problem-solving; whether across architecture, interiors, planning, placemaking or wayfinding. Rather than separating disciplines by function or Mijasu practice brand, the workplace brings people together around shared project challenges, reflecting the way contemporary projects increasingly demand integrated thinking from day one.
The relocation signals a deliberate shift toward removing silos and strengthening the true power of interdisciplinary designing - pairing human insight, lived experience and technical expertise with industry-leading tools and technology to solve complex project challenges; quickly and effectively.
Everlane’s design-led approach, emphasis on sustainability and focus on wellbeing closely align with Cley Studio’s own values: creating environments that are robust, resilient and people-centred, while remaining grounded in how spaces are used every day.
“This is a big moment for us,” Burke said.
“We’re upping the ante — not just in size, but in how we work, how we collaborate and how we prepare for the next stage of Cley Studio’s growth in 2026 and beyond.”
The Cremorne studio represents more than a change of address. It is a physical expression of Cley Studio’s belief that the best architecture emerges when diverse perspectives come together with intent — and that great places are shaped through connection between people, disciplines and ideas.
